When you tell a girl you like her and you've missed her, you can NEVER sound stupid. Don't worry! We girls love that kind of thing...
Give her a ring, tell her you missed talking to her, and ask her if she'd like to meet you for a coffee, or lunch or a movie so you can catch up. Even though I know the idea makes you tense, try to sound confident and friendly and open, as if you were asking a mate to hang out. Girls aren't an alien species, so just talk to her like you would any other friend. I guarantee that she'll be flattered at the invitation.
Be brave and do it!

Hi,why dont you give her a ring to see how she is, you can start by saying something like "just thought i'd give you a call to catch up, i've really missed you these last few months" and take it from there, if things go well ask her out, ask if you can meet up to catch up properly. If you feel you cant phone her write her a letter giving all your news and end by saying love to hear all your news i've really missed you etc keeping it light. You've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. Good luck LoLx

i think you should just go for it if you really feel that much for this girl, your young and really what have you got to lose, if she is really your best friend she will still be their for you either way, as a partner or just friend still. and as for saying you miss her, just tell her, trust me girls like to hear that sort of stuff.
