reader, anonymous, writes (26 October 2008): Well if you didn't get a prenup then she may get something....and if you have kids then she is definitely getting something.... other than that just try to get an annulment or just go and talk to a legal expert... like the others advised.

 If you haven't been married long, you can seek an annulment. You can get divorced pro se, without an attorney. This generally works better if she's willing to sign the papers. I'd ask an attorney. There are some you can talk to who will answer your questions at no cost.

You'd have to speak to a legal expert. But since you signed a legal contract to love and provide for someone, if you break that contract then you are going to have to pay something.
