writes: My good friend (male) and I were teasing each other and I made fun of his lack of fashion sense (brown belt and black pants), and I called him a "dork". He took great offense and hasn't spoken to me for a week. I apologized every day, and then he said he forgave me, but still won't speak to me. He's from India. Was what I said some kind of mortal sin? Will he forgive me?

Perhaps he took that particular comment more serious than the other things you both may have said, maybe his sense of fashion is something he knows he struggles with so he could see truth in the tease. If he still won't speak to you he's probably still just upset that you hurt his feelings. But on the other hand, he could have something else on his mind. I would say if it was the teasing that has upset him this much, he'll forgive you eventually, but I think you should try talking to him and ask if that's all that he's upset about, and whether you can help put things right.
