writes: I (24) have a problem which i have never suffered with untill the last few months.Whenever my bf goes down on me, it makes me itch, sometimes more than others.And i get alot of discharge, i mean alot. It has no oder etc but its starting to bother me.And sometimes when we have sex im swollen the next day.Me and my bf have been together over 5years and are very much in love, i know he hasnt cheated to give me any infections etc, and i certainly havnt.I just feel very different down there, ive never had any problems before.my mum sometimes suffers from thrush, i never have, but my sister does too, do you think there may be a chance i will suffer now im older?

Just a quick suggestion - some women are also allergic to semen. If you don't have some sort of yeast infection, this is probably quite likely as about three percent of women suffer from this problem.

 I would (just to be on the safe side) go to the GP or GUM clinic with him and get the pair of your tested. Also are you using any form of lube or condoms? You could have an allergy. Get a check up at your GP with him. It makes sense to be careful.

reader, anonymous, writes (3 January 2007): Yes, AND you might also get infections down there when he goes down on you. My ex had an infection after giving me head, then penetrating her. The food stuff that was previous in her mouth most likely that got stuck in the saliva, that ended up inside of her vagina probably gave her that.
