I think that you should talk this over with your boyfriend and your mom, and maybe have your mom get to know him a little bit better, so she can get a better idea of what the guy is like, and better understand why you want to be with him. Where I live it is okay for a 16 year old to date a 19 year old, as long as the 16 year old's parents are okay with it. Just be careful, 19 can be a little bit sketchy.

reader, anonymous, writes (8 January 2007): i think that you should talk things over with him. im in the same situation. the guy im in love with is also turning 19 and im turning 16 in march. he is also a marine and yeah. my mom is kind of iffy. we talked about it and its not really bad unless you have sex, which you shouldnt be at 15.. just talk to your mom about it and see if shell work things out =]3
