A female United States age 26-29, forever-and-ever writes:

I still cant believe it. I lost my virginity when i was in 8th grade and only 14 years old.

Now its changed my life forever. I dont feel like its a bad thing but when i think about it hard, it kinda disappoints me. Ive had sex with two guys now and im in 9th grade now. The first guy i thought it was love but then i realized it wasnt. Now i know im in love for sure.

Okay heres the story of how i lost my virginity.

I started hanging out with this boy. We were both virgins but we talked about having sex all the time. We thought we were ready so we went to a party at a friends house and that time we just madeout and kissed and stuff like that then i went over there again the next weekend, we went further and did more things then the third weekend we had sex. I still cant believe it. It felt so amazing and good it felt like the best thing in the world even though it hurt really bad. I was so scared at first then i didnt even care.We did it alot after that, and we thought we were in love. We dated for 9 months, but we fought alot. Then we just broke up one day and we pretty much wasted a whole 9 months of our life for nothing. Nothing at all. All of that for nothing??

I shouldnt have lost my virginity to him because now i cant say i lost my virginity to the one i love.

I found a guy a few months later and now he loves me for who i am and we have sex but not as much as me and my old ex used to. and i actually know he loves me and hes not using me.

I just want to say, dont have sex if youre not ready. Make sure you find the right guy/ girl first otherwise your never gonna forgive yourself.

Sometimes i wonder if im still in love with him, i know im not but i always think about him and when we had sex just because he was my first. Now im never going to forget him!!!!!

Im glad were done though now, cuz he put alot of stress in my life. Now that were over im so much better and ive never fell so hard for a boy then i am now.

I love the one im with now.Hopefully we last forever:) I think were going to.

:)

A female reader, dorothy2342 United States +, writes (8 December 2009):

dorothy2342 agony auntI made the same mistake when I was your age. My mom and dad were going through an ugly divorce, he was having an affair with a woman at his work place. My reasoning got messed up when I saw the power she had over him with sex, he sacrificed his marriage with my mother over sex with another woman. In my confused brain I thought sex with someone meant they loved you. No so. Your virginity is a precious gift meant for your husband and you to enjoy and bring the bond of marriage stronger. It is not just a physical thing meant for a feeling of love, but love in marriage. Sex is wonderful, it feels wonderful and it makes your partner feel wonderful. We are not animals that just breed, we love and desire. It is not too late to stop giving your precious gift away, it means more than that, you must know you are worth the wait, if a man loves you he will wait. And if you want your husband to love you, he needs to respect you. Stop now and respcet yourself. If a guy won't wait, kick him to the curb.

A male reader, bharat mehta India +, writes (28 November 2009):

bharat mehta agony auntI would like to elaborate two point, one about virginity, and other about love. It is religious preaching who gave too much importance to virginity. In religious vision sex has only one meaning, to religious virginity is mark of seal, like many industrial product has, and that sex is like that product, which has one production...to create baby...procreative use only. Otherwise, even male also have mark of virginity, but male do not hold child in his womb.

In reality of mind, an intellectual mind held sex has only one meaning, that it gave heaven like pleasure. Only intellectual mind catch this meaning, but when it encounter with religious culture, the first one broke, and second one became ruling.

Now about love. what is love? it is highest value to someone for something, but value judgment can be mistaken and required correction. There are instances in life, where parent has to dismiss their own children for bad work. Or children has to dismiss their parent for their bad temperament or nature. Our judgment are time and place bound, it is not formed for full vision. It take time for full vision, and one is bound to correct his judgment on the basis of new evidence.

little about virginity, it has no meaning, not even anatomical meaning, where one can say that it is good for body. Virginity can be broken by person with one's own decision in masturbating also.

So, love and virginity should not be a psychological problem. Of course sex is great, so it is worship able, one is bound to create relationship worthy of that greatness.

A reader, anonymous, writes (27 November 2009):

Yeah make him prove it! Don't be so (sorry) but easy. All guys want is one thing and you're giving him the satisfaction. Plus with all the sex you're having you might get pregnant next time. It doesn't matter if he uses a condom. There's 50/50 chance! Don't be stupid!

[Moderator note: tone it down please]

you don't love him and you didnt love the last guy, your just trying so hard to fall in love and to be loved. i know this sounds cruel, but read over what you've written. If at times you feel regretful for what you did with the first guy, why do you have sex with the other one? I think you should wait, waaaaait a long time make him prove to you that he loves you no matter what!

be careful...
