 He was your first. Now this is a big reason why so many people say "wait until marriage to have sex" I've worked with relationships now for over 14 years. That's a long time to be submitting myself to the great, good, bad, and ugly.
I want you to recognize this. Women who first have sex, because of their emotional attachment, generally "love" the person who took their virginity.
Sex and emotion to women is like peanut butter and chocolate to reases. Sharing your first biggest emotional experience with someone gives you an added attachment to that person.
If you do have to leave, you'll be fine.
