(this was on myspace and i know him well) i got on a little later and i look at his name and it says that he had another girlfriend. i am still sad but i still love him. how do i get over him??

Thats probably not what you want to hear but you gotta face the truth. I know coz i was in the exact same situation. Still am really. I went out with this guy and then he sed he just wanted to be mates, six months down the line and i still loved him. We had both had other partners but all i used to be was compare them to him.
In the end i was ready to just give up and realise we wernt gona be together. Until He came back to me and told me he still loved me. But thats my story, and ive eben with him for 2 weeks now thats it but its different, ive spend like 6 months waiting for him and in the end its really not as good as i wanted it to be. Sorry if this ddnt help and it just sounds like a huge rant but thought id try and compare it.
All you gotta do is carry on as normal and try to accept the fact that he doesnt love you, but in future, if you stay close enough friends like i did, he might just learn your the one he wanted all along.
