I lost a lot of weight, but I'm quite scared of what might happen if my Bf and I do go to the water park area of the amusement park we will visit. How should I handle this?

Hi I'm probably overthinking this and freaking out over nothing but I'm going to ask anyway.

So I'm going to an amusement park with my boyfriend soon and both of us are excited, there's just one thing I'm scared about.

I used to be severely obese for my age and I started to exersize and lose weight and I'm really proud of that.

The problem is I'm still not "skinny."

My friends and family are proud of me and know what over been through but I met him after I lost a bunch of weight so he doesn't really know.

He doesn't have a problem with my size and has told me he likes my figure.

Problem is I don't like mine and I'm quite worried about the water park area in the amusement park because I'm quite uncomfortable in bathing suits and try my best to avoid situations in them.

My stomach is far from flat and it's in my genetics to have big thighs so I'm quite insecure.

I don't know if he or his family is aware about the water park there but I really don't know what to do, because I'm quite scared for what happens if we do go to the water park area.

Please help I'm nervous and completely scared.

Well done for achieving your goal of loosing weight because YOU wanted too. There are so many lovely beach wear outfits in the shops these days, kaftan tops, silky wrap shirts, sarongs, tummy flattening costumes. Please feel proud and confident, and remember a lot of women have parts of their bodies that we like to cover sometimes. I am slim and like to cover my legs because of blue veins, so opt for long silky sarongs. My boobs are very small so I opt for flattering padded bikini tops with a frill. Make the best of what you have and above all remember we are all very fortunate because we are ABLE bodied and can do things like swim and go to water parks. Count your blessings and be happy. Enjoy yourself and well done.

chigirl agony auntCant you just tell him you dont want to go to the water park area?

Maybe prepare by buying a new swimsuit. The ones who have skirts covering the top of your tight are popular these days.

Honeypie agony auntCongrats on the weight-loss! Being healthy is IMPORTANT!

Get a nice wrap or one of those "covers" so you will feel less exposed, but TRY not to let ANYONE (even yourself) tell you that you have to be STICK thin to be happy and enjoy a day at the water park with your BF.

No one is perfect. Those women you see in magazines? Airbrushed. Reality is... NO ONE is perfect. And even if.. you were a skinny chick, you wouldn't automatically love yourself more. You'd find other faults. That is what society teaches young girls, but I say this, BE who you are and find a way to LOVE yourself AS you are. OK so you don't think you are a "perfect 10" SO what? Be you have a GREAT personality, awesome sense of humor, amazing intellect. Trust me, that BEATS out great hair any day.

Don't LET anyone hold you back from living your life, NOT even yourself.

Go, honey.. Have fun and don't forget the water proof sunscreen!
