Your friends are right on the money. Ignore, ignore! Drop them both out of your life and always date people who respect you. That saying "Be mean and keep them keen" only works on females who are dependent, desperate and needy for attachment to a guy...any guy to validate them, make them feel worthy. Females like this have emotional problems and need to work on themselves before even considering the dating scene. However, your feelings of strong dislike for the way these guys are treating you, is telling you something about yourself. That you are strong, that you like yourself and you are a healthy-thinking female who knows what she wants in a dating partner. So I would suggest you do what any self-respecting person would do when it comes to this pair of jackasses...drop them out of your life. Maybe by doing this, these guys, will learn a tough but very profound lesson about how to treat females.

I don't think this is really a case of fighting your own battle or fighting for your own opinion, it's just doing what you think is right. They sound immature and to be honest, when you get older, guys stop doing things like being mean to keep you keep. They shouldn't be mean to you, it's not nice, and it's not worth it either honey. Personally, it sounds like you should just try and ignore them, your friends are right.
