He says he does like me too which I believe because he was (not sounding self-centered) obsessed with me last year, but him and his girlfriend have been going strong for over 2 months now and I seriously want to get over him but I cant.Any tips how?

Give it time and you will get over him. It never feels like it at the time but you will move on. I wouldn't wait around for him for too long as he's in a relationship that you said is going strong. If you feel you need time away from him as a friend to help you get over him, let him know and he should respect you for that.

All that you can do is either move on, or wait it out. If you choose to wait it out, do it for a little while. You need to respect the fact that they're in a relationship. If it doesn't seem to pan out over a few months, move on.
