writes:dear cupid, i just found out that my best guy friend, also my crush for two years, likes me. he already knows that i like him, so why is he not making a move? when we first became friends he asked me for my number. i gave it to him, and he called the same day and every other day foy about two weeks, then just stopped cold turkey. my friend kayla said that he might've started developing feelings that he wasn't sure of, and maybe needed tome to think about things. i really like and sumer has started, so i haven't seen him since may 25.but when we said goodbye on the last day of school he said that we needed to hang out this sumer. i want to call him but am scared that he'll think i'm a stalker or something.what should i do?  Calling him once will not make you a stalker. If he doesnt pick up just leave a cheery message asking if he wants to hang out sometime.
Lads at 15 are odd to us girls, and they probably think the same of us. Its all hormones and stuff and he may have panicked he's falling for you too quick, or he's shown too much emotion already. Give him some time and hopefully you'll hang out this summer.

reader, anonymous, writes (14 June 2007): Maybe he doesn't want to lose a friend if things go pear-shaped between you two. Maybe he doesn't know you like him. Maybe he's just scared.
You don't have to wait for him to make the first move - you already have an invitation from him to hang out so why not send him a text? Maybe when he made that suggestion he didn't get the impression that you were interested. If he says he's busy or something then just let things simmer. The ball is in your court.
