totally confused me and this boy are really close and ive started to really like him but my best mate really likes him aswell shes liked him for ages and went out with him for three days and shes been infatuated ever since but he doesnt like her. he came over the other day and i really got the impression that he liked me he kept kissin me on the head and hugging me, he tickled my foot and wanted to sit by me n stuff like that at one point he rubbed my leg. but i dont no if he was just being really friendly or if he likes me. i was planning on telling him but i fear that if i do he might not feel the same and might ruin our friendship or my best mate will get hurt. I dont no what to do can anyone help!?

A female reader, cd206 United Kingdom +, writes (14 January 2007):

cd206 agony auntIn your situation I would take my friend out for a night and ask her if she'd be really upset if I were to get together with him. If she said yes and that it would affect our friendship I wouldn't pursue it because friends will always last longer than boyfriends but she might surprise you and unselfishly insist she wants you to be happy. If she does this though and you end up going out with this guy try not to be too excited about it in front of her as this will likely only make her feel bad. I would say my ultimate advice though is that no guy is worth losing your best friend over, however special he is. Hope this helps.
