A male Australia age 30-35, anonymous writes:

hi.

5 weeks into my relationship with my girlfriend i went out to a party without her as she was sick. I was hanging around my mates and this girl approached me to say hi and flirt, i told her to leave me alone as i was not interested. Later on she apporached me again on the dancefloor and i moved away from her as i was still not interested. Throgghout the night and alot of alcohol later i approached her and said things like " is your boyfriend here", "no one will know" and things like this not exactlly 100% on waht else i said because i drunk. I didnt take it any further as i moved away. When i got home for some reason i told my girlfriend that this girl approached me multiple times, this girl and my girlfriend know off eachother and have some similar friends. My girlfriend then told off The girl on facebook, so the girl told my girlfriend what i had said, i lied and denied it, my girlefriend beilved me, 1 month later one of the girls friends yelled something out to my girlfriend implieing that i hit on her i coninued denieing it. it has been 4 and a half months since it happened and hasnt been brought up but i am extremly guilty, and worried that my girlfriend could bump into this girl and things will blow up. I know that my girlfriend wont forigve me for this as i have lied for a long while but i dont want too make her look like a idiot or hear it from some one else. I have never felt guilt or remorse like this its bringing me down mentally.

should i leave it or tell her?

I think you should tell her. I also think she's making this a way bigger deal than it is. All you did was talk to her, you didn't do anything bad.
