A male United Kingdom age 30-35, *en345 writes:

I am 19 and male, and recently had a family holiday to Spain. As everyone does, I felt very romantic and fuzzy on holiday, and fell for our holiday rep, who was a cute, adorable blonde girl a couple of years older. I'll codename her Katie. I was very shy but managed to say hi a few times. I liked her so much that the idea of leaving hurt, even though I had never had a conversation with this girl. On the final night, I wrote her a letter telling her what a lovely and adorable rep she had been, and left it in her office. My facebook address was on the bottom in case she wanted to return a message. I left, very sad I would never get a chance to talk to her, never expecting a reply. To my amazement, a couple of days later, another rep who had worked at our hotel added me on facebook [I recognized her name and face]. At first I wondered if she had read it thinking it was hers, but the other girls' name was on the envelope.

I messaged this other rep saying what a lovely holiday we had had and that I did not intend to scare Katie, and that I had just felt dead fuzzy for her. Three days later, I have heard nothing. Why was I added by the wrong rep and so far ignored?

My guess was that Katie got a little shy and freaked out, so asked her friend to look me up. Either that or Katie did not have a Facebook account so suggested her friend look me up. Will keep rep number two as a friend and see if a reply comes through, but will not send them anything more.

Shadow Rose agony auntI think perhaps somehow the other rep may have gotten a hold of your letter and thought it was meant to you. Perhaps she didn't see that the letter was for Katie. Maybe she thought you liked HER, and either liked you back, or wanted to give you a chance, but when you said that you liked KATIE, perhaps she got embarrassed and stopped talking?
