I feel kinda embarrassed because I know almost nothing about sex. I can't ask my mom because she will freak. My friends are out of the question because they expect me to know this stuff. I have a few questions ready: how exactly do you masturbate? What are sex toys like vibrators? Can you masturbate correctly if you've never had your period? And anything else you have that can help me learn about it. Please help?

You can't really talk to anyone about masturbation really because there's no point. You just do what everyone else does and experiment on yourself.

Anything other than masturbation that is related to sex talk to your parents they won't mind.

But masturbation is a very private and personal act and seriously most of us learned how to do it on our own by experimenting. So just do what we all did and use trial and error, what works for one girl won't necessarily work for you, so just try different ways of touching yourself and see what works for you. There's no need to ask anyone else about it.

It is a good thing to ask parents these sort of questions, or even just adults or older siblings, but I do understand how it'd be awkward.

Masturbating is a personal act where you touch yourself, either stimulating your clitoris (you'd have to look that up) by rubbing it or whatever other motion feels good or you finger yourself. It takes a little exploration and various movements to figure out what feels good to you. It's different for everyone.

Vibrators are objects that women buy in sex shops or online that are generally in the shape of a penis or any phallic shape that is designed to stimulate the g-spot inside the vagina (a spot that is supposed to make a woman orgasm) or the clitoris.

And yes, having your period has nothing to do with a period. There have been posts on here about women discovering masturbation in their elementary years, not knowing exactly what it was.

Any more questions, just ask.
