writes: I am a tomboy and I fancy this boy and am gonna go out with him but the only trouble is that my friends will all make fun of me and always say "aaaarrrrr" and stuff! And say "Marnie's getting girlie" (thats me). They will also all want to meet him and he is quite ugly - no offence. I just fancy him cos of his personlity. I know I should just ignore my mates but it's hard. What should I do? Answer asap. Thank you. :( Should I just not tell them? So if you really like this guy you go for it dont let them get you down, and if they see you somewhere with this guy dont act shy because then your boyfriend will feel as if your embarrased to be with him, and if they laugh well... their no true friends are they?Good LuckMiriam

Well, I don't think you should care. If you really like this boy, then go for it. So what if he is ungly, that shouldn't matter to you or your friends, looks aren't everything. And if your friends pick on you because of that are they really your true friends? Try talking to them, and tell them that you like him. So what?. Hope I helped, good luck! :)

I know how you must feel. Here's what to do; tell your friends about him, they might tease you but theyd do that no matter who you fancied! Let them meet him, so what if he's ugly? You like him and thats all that matters....besides, how many of them have got boyfriends?

The most important thing is that you like him for who he is. I think you should give it a go. If it doesn't work out then at least you have tried and you won't regret it. Unfortunately only you can decide if you want to give it a go and you shouldn't be pressured into anything. I hope I have helped. Take care and good luck.
