I would say they probably depend on the interview more than the CV and they glance over it. Boss' generally have a lot on their plate. Sounds like you are worried about something in your CV. If you falsified something, it's too late to worry about it now. If I were you, I would just concentrate on doing the best job possible and remember this lesson in the future. All that they want is a good, productive and honest employee, so concentrate on being just that. Forgive yourself and move on. If it comes up, apologize and ask for a second chance, it's all that you can do! I hope that I haven't overstepped and that this helped you out!

Your Boss and anyone above him as long as the enquiry is work related. Who actually has checked on your CV would depend on the restrictions in your particular office. Some offices are pretty lax in personal security and procedures while others are very strict. Unfortunately, it's always possible that an office "chum" could let a person who has no relevant enquiry read your CV. Although this is an question of ethics and how you SHOULD be treated in an office, not everyone working at your office is necessarily ethical. If you suspect that someone who doesn't have the right to read your CV has without your express permission, You wouldn't be out of line to mention this to your HR department, but make sure that you have proof of the indiscretion to back up what you say.
