But last night I saw her out and i noticed she looked a lot thinner! Honestly looked like she's not been eating much... Her waist looked so tiny and her legs and arms had not a pinch of fat on them, she didn't look anorexic, so don't think i'm describing a starving girl, with bones showing. But she's definitely lost weight! I'd say i'm 100% sure she's dropped to a definite size 6 now.My friends noticed she's thinner to, so it wasn't just me. But now i'm wondering do you think the break up had any effect on her weight loss? We didn't have the best break-up, I know I hurt and upset her so much! So it wouldn't surprise me if it had any relation... But now even my friends and one my good female friends said they reckon the breakup is probably the reason she's thinner.. She does look amazing even being that thin, but still i'm surprised because she's so tiny now!? How it is that I or in fact the break-up is the cause of her weight loss?

There is also the possibility that she is happier without you and was only heavier dating you because she was eating of depression then.

when I am very upset I can't eat and I lose weight quickly.
If she was upset about the breakup she probably is not eating as much as she should... if she was thin to begin with she needs a decent amount of food to keep her weight up (lucky her)
the stress of a break up will do it.
it's not your fault or to your credit.
in fact, she's an ex so it's not your concern at all.

It's a very real and painful experience, and I truly thought last time I was going to die from the pain.

yeah, stress will do that to you. my first rough break up came when i was 18 and i lost a ton of weight all in about a month span of time. so yeah, that's probably what caused it. but i always was glad for this effect. i always saw it as prepping for my next relationship. lol.

She's probably so despondent that you dumped her, that she's trying to starve herself to death.... Nice going...

IT’s impossible to say if the break-up caused her weight loss, and even if it did, how? Maybe she was upset and didn’t look after herself very well. Or maybe she decided to diet to try and boost her self-esteem? Perhaps she has other stresses in her life? The reality is that you’re no longer together so best not to try digging around for the answers. Leave her to get on with her life, and focus on living yours.
I wish you all the very best.

I doubt it was YOU causing the weight loss, the STRESS caused by the bad breakup could have contributed to the weight loss, to be honest your question sounds like you are prepared to stand up and take the credit for the fact she is looking so good now, but don't do that, the breakup may be the reason, your actions may be the reason, but you the person are not.
