Hi,

I hope you can help me. I've been depressed for the last year but don't know why. I have a nice family and have a good social life.

When I'm out I'm happy, then I just go on a downer and I dont know why. I don't talk to anyone for days and just cry all the time. I hate it and it's not fair on my family. I can get down over the the silliest things but then I'm up again.

What do you suggest, please?

i have the same problem. when im out with my friends im a happy go lucky person up for a laught n a joke but when im alone im depressed and quiet and just a simple advert can set me off crying. i found that having a hobby or interest, mine being reading, can make a whole difference to the times i feel down. although i hate being alone iv got used to using that time to pamper myself and i feel great afterwards. i also found talking to strangers, like ppl on the net, about the way i felt very helpfull as they did not judge me in the ways my family were doing.
