Hi - not sure if anyone can help with a decision of the heart or head as I need to make a decision on whether to move to Seattle, WA (USA) or Melbourne, Australia. There are plus and minus aspects to both but I just cannot decide and have spent days and weeks churning it all over in my head. Both are achieveable financially etc. I have a beloved pet dog to consider taking too. Apologies as this is not really relationship based but it could affect many relationships around me or influence the future of my life so would really appreciate any views on either of these locations... or emigrating generally. With much thanks in advance of any help.

this_years_love agony auntHey! well i am a canadian and i moved to a suburb of melbourne just over a year ago. I absolutely LOVE australia. the price of living here is MUCH higher, however...small things you wouldn't think of like produce, bottled water, etc cost MUCH more..so make sure you factor that in to the financial bit:)

australians are great and its a wonderful place to live-melbourne was voted one of the top ten livable cities in the world actually i think...

the one thing you need to think about is how long are you committing to live here...because it is quite difficult being away from friends family and etc especially older family members. where do you live right now?

America i have visited..not seattle but new york, florida, pensylvania, and a few other states...it's a nice country but let me tell you if you are not american it will be very hard to accept it as 'home'. it is not like any other country whereas if you are from a commonwealth country it will be a) much easier to get into the country in the first place and b) a lot more like home in a lot of ways.

hope this helps feel free to message me i'll answer any questions about melbourne and australia in general:)

xx

Decide based on trivial things or the one that's a little closer to where your family and friends live.

Make a list of everything that is important to you. Then give each wish a weight of importance to you. Then make a caculation. Then think on it for a week. Then make a decision.
