I'm in love with my girlfriend so much, we have been going out for a year and a half and I find myself thinking about her when we're apart. If she ever left I would be devastated, that thought upsets me. I know how people you love can just go with out warning (after my mum died) so I take every day as it comes. This girl has become my whole life is this normal? everything I do, whether it's going out with my mates or at work, when I'm not focused on something else I think of her and feel happy. I try to treat her as often as possible and make her feel extra special (the way she makes me feel just by being with me). I've never been in love before I didn't think it would be this strong!!! This can't be lust after one year and a half it has to be the real thing :D I also feel that I would put her needs before my own to please her. If she does something wrong and hurts my it hurts more because she did it, although its also easier to forgive her when she does. I just wonder does anyone else feel like this?

I'm glad you and your girlfriend are so happy together. Enjoy what you have together. You are selfless and true love IS selfless. You're also a bit insecure about yourself but you don't have to be. Don't worry in your relationship, enjoy what you have together and continue to bond with her. If she feels the same then in time you can do something very special to show her how much you love her or even buy her an engagement ring! Make sure she feels the same way though.
I wish you both every happiness together and long may your relationship continue.
