I have reoccurring dreams about a girl I haven't seen in 8 years and never bothered about, why?

A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

In the last year I have had about 3/4 dreams about a girl I haven't even seen in 8 years. Most recently I had one last night that she was at this party I went to recently and we ended up kissing, and I felt bad when I woke up because I have a girlfriend.

When I last saw her we were 11 years old, and may I stress I don't dream of her looking like an 11 year old she looks like how I can picture her to be as a 19 year old.

I grew up with her in primary school although I didn't talk to her much, I never had a playground relationship with her and she went by pretty much unnoticed.

So I'm confused why I have reoccurring dreams about her every few months in which we usually kiss or I find her attractive? Why after 8 years does my mind sometimes think about someone I was never bothered about and haven't even seen in so long?

hi...

well, this dream could mean many things..

in my opinion it doesnt really have anything to do with the girl your seeing in your dreams, but more about the one your with now..

are you happy in you relationship?

do you love your girlfriend?

maybe, just maybe the dream is telling you to rethink the relationship that you are in. if you not completely happy maybe your mind is trying to show you that, and maybe you should not be in that relationship.

do these dreams usually happen after a fight or a bad day, or do they usually happen after a very good day with your gf?

theres many different ways to judge this dream in particular, but i hope that helped

Susan Strict agony auntDon't worry about it. Honestly - dreams are odd things and tend to repeat for a while on the same sort of subject.

It doesn't mean that you secretly long for this girl. It only means that something awoke a memory in an odd corner of your subconscious and your mind explored it for a while. It's a bit like turning out an old cupboard - you find something that is no earthly use and it fascinates you for a while before you throw it away.

Jmo agony auntI agree with what everyone has said so far. Your dreams probably have very little to do with this girl. Alot of times when changes have occurred in my life (and I'm not implying that there have been in yours) my dreams seem to include people that I haven't seen in years (mostly exes). It happens, don't feel guilty about it.

brooke5426 agony auntMaybe its not so much her you're longing for but what she represents? ie your childhood. Dreams arent literal. I had a recurring dream my baby nephew died and it upset me so much i went on a dream forum to ask ppls opinions and most people told me it had nothing to do with the baby but meant a massive loss was coming into my sisters life. Soon after, she split with her fiancee.

So I'm thinking your dream is more to do with you missing your childhood and feeling a longing to go back to when things were probably a lot simpler for you.

Well I am getting stuck down in my full time job with more responsibilities and pressure so I think your answer may be right in some respects. But I didn't when I first dreamt about her a year ago when I was still a student.

Light agony auntHi Their,

Great dream WOW - you got lots to do....

Well it's like this ok.... Example

One day you pass this street that you've past 1000 times before but suddenly in this street you notice a beautiful tree, and your shocked, not just about the beautiful tree, but how you didn't notice it before!!!! RING A BELL....

This means that your growing up, wiser, more knowledgable and also your starting to see things in a wider perspective - the side side to your dream is that you must somehow contact this girl, she has the key to why you are still seeing her................

CONTACT HER - FIND HER! Have your dreams of her been more frequent?
