Dear AnonymousI feel like this sometimes, especially when the people around me have done well or seem to be further in life then I am. But I think the first step is trying to find that motivation and blocking out the voice that says you can't do something. I would start by taking small steps. Maybe try a range of activities or temp jobs and see if you can find anything that motivates you. Concentrate on the main things in life that you enjoy, they may only be small for example watching films or sports but try and focus on what you enjoy so your mood picks up. Try and think of things that have influenced your life and reasons why for example, you have taken a degree. You may not be ready for work yet so maybe look at studying more so that you can find a more specialised area to work in once you feel ready. Hopefully I have given you some ideas; I think the most important thing is to concentrate on three positive things so that you gain more confidence in yourself, so that over time you will not need to try so hard to feel motivated. All the best!
