Im sexually active but i make sure the guys use a condom all the time so i'd rather believe its not an STI. I'll go to the doctor's but i just wanted to know if any of you have an idea what it could be and maybe what i should expect. Thanks.

While Chigirl suggests heat... I always found ice packs helped more than heat...

You are welcome! It also can help ease the pain if you fill a bottle with warm water and lay between your legs (with a piece of cloth in between, you don't want to burn your skin).

I agree it sounds like a UTI or a bladder infection.
either way you need to see a doctor.

This is the only thing I can think of that it might be:
Sounds like a urinary tract infection. It's bacteria in your urinary tract that creates a stingy feeling, and can be quite painful. It also makes you feel like you want to pee all the time even if you don't have to. Sexual activity is a common reason for this sort of infection, as you introduce a new set of bacteria (his) to your area. That is why you need to pee after sex, to clear the bacteria away. However you can get a urinary tract infection from almost anything else as well.
You need to drink a lot of water, preferably orange juice or cranberry juice, to create a hostile environment for these bacteria's to settle in your urinary tract. And stay healthy and in shape, because when your immune system is weak you can easily get another infection. I often get an infection of this sort right after being sick from a flu or other illnesses, or if I am particularly stressed out (stress weakens the immune system too).
Urinary tract infection is cured with antibiotics, but you need to go to your doctor to get a prescription. Take good care of your health afterwards to prevent a new infection.
