A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I have officially lost faith in successful relationships. My boyfriend and I have been together for 2.5 months (not long at all). My best friend and his best friend actually introduced my boyfriend and I to each other about five years ago. I was involved with someone else and my boyfriend basically became my best guy friend at that point in time.

Anyway, our best friends have been dating themselves for over six years. They were engaged to be married on their seven year anniversary (which is/was approximately three weeks from today). They broke up two days ago because my best friend caught her man cheating on her!

I just don't know what to think of this and I can't even imagine what my best girl friend is going through! Everything was set up, the wedding was well on its way and god, it's just a tragedy! Honestly! How does something like this happen? And how should I help my best friend? Thanks.

Be a friend and just be there for her..I don't think there is much anyone can say about that but try to put your own feelings aside and just be there for her. I'm sure she rly rly needs you.
