reader, anonymous, writes (9 August 2009): As a woman with herpes myself, I have had 2 healthy, beautiful babies without c-section. But I must say that you really need to trust your doctor & be watchful of outbreaks during the pregnancy and time of the birth. There a lots of women with HSV-2 who have babies without c-section. You can have a c-section if you're really, really troubled about vaginal birth but the doctor may not do that because sometimes it depends on if you have an active outbreak at the delivery time. But like I said it's possible to have a vaginal birth :)
