She's friendly with me like she kisses me on the cheek in public and jokes around with me. Everytime I instigate a kiss, she backs away.. But not in an angry way. I'm just really confused, I really like this girl but it seem like she doesn't like me but at the same time she likes me in some sorta way. Please help me out..  I think the only thing you can do is ask her how she feels.
Scary, I know, but it's the only way to know for sure.
Keep it low key and do it when you two don't have other friends around.
Just tell her that you really like her and does she think you two could ever be more than just friends.
Then you'll know.
If she says no, then just smile and say something friendly and reassure her it doesn't matter.
I can't help thinking that she only likes you as a friend as she backed away from your previous advances, but then again she might just be a bit shy and inexperienced around guys.
