I would wonder If you really know what love is all about. And was it just sex that held your relationship together for those 3 and 1/2 years? And you have now reached that point in your togetherness called, "Sexual-Burnout", or you have found someone better at scratching the itch below your navel Why the big change? If you really loved him I think that you are old enough to be taking some of the responsibility to help care for the child that you both brought into this world.
