Hey,

This is one for the ladies, I know this topic sounds horrible but I'd really appreaciate your help.

I have vaginal discharge that is a brown colour... it's quite mucassy.

I had a normal period the week before last.

Any ideas?

I have abdominal pain, but it's not unbearable.

Thank you for your time.

Thank you so much for your help, it is just crampy pains every now and then so I think it must be me just going through ovulation. If it gets worse in the next day or so then I'll go and get myself checked out.

Thank you again :)

Humbug :)

birdynumnums agony auntYou could be having a bit of spotting around your ovulation. It normally is just a bit of brown or red discharge, but not enough to soak more than a pad. If it's also quite slippery, it's probably just that. If you also DON'T feel crampy, but have really sharp. pinchy, sudden pains, it's your ovulation. It would seem to make sense, considering what the timing according to your last period was. It's a REALLY good idea to make up a code (MP, My Period; SP, Spotting; etc.) and chart this on your computer or notebook. When your period starts, how long it lasts, any discharge throughout the month, etc. Keeping track of all of this will help you figure out your own health, tracking your ovulation might help you in the future getting pregnant, for figuring out your due date when you are pregnant and it will help you figure out when you eventually enter peri-menopause. Doctors depend on you to give them this information too.

Hey honey. It's probably just your vagina cleaning itself out in a way, it sounds unpleasant, but this is probably all it is! Don't worry, some women get it every month.
