We are very happy together, even now with the stresses of maintaining a household and us both getting through college. We're best friends.I have always thought that I would want children some day, far far in the future, but now I have this irrational, overpowering desire to have a baby! My fiance wants one too, just not right now, and he knows about this wacky urge I've been having. We've decided to wait until after college, but I need to know how to stop obsessing! It's driving me crazy! Has anyone else felt like this before? Is this normal? If so, how did you cope?

Yes, but I'm 27 and married.
It's called your biological time clock. Technically it can go off at any age, sometimes as early as 14. Mine didn't start ticking until I was 24. It's completely normal to yearn for a child.
To cope you can babysit, that's actually helped me to an extent (although I have an entirely different story all together). Or you can do what IAHTY said and figure out it would cost to have a baby. It's been estimated to be several thousand. Do you have that kind of money at the moment??
-You have to pay for daycare (since you're both in school) which is about $800 a month.
-Formula (which goes fast) is $23-$25 a pack. Keep in mind not all babies can breastfeed.
-Diapers cost anywhere from $12 and up. You go through those fast as well.
-Clothing
-Basic healthcare for the baby. Do either of you have good health insurance?
-Nursery furniture
- Binkies
-Bottles
-Toys
-Car seat
-A rocking swing to soothe them $160
-Bibs
-Burp cloths
-Baby shampoo and body wash
The list is endless..
I'm assuming since both of you are in college that neither of you have a decent paying job, if one at all. So if you're going to have a baby, make sure YOU can AFFORD one.
