There are several women that regularly flirt with me and show interest but I am not interested in them. My buddies smack me on the shoulder and tell me to just "Go out! Have a good time! You don't have to marry the girl! Stop thinking so much..."I do have a tendency to think too much. Why would you want to hurt someone - to lead them on?My buddies: "How are you going to know if you never go out with them? There might be some pain but that's the risk - that's life"I would really appreciate an "outside" opinion. Am I thinking to much about this? I am not really interested in these girls. What more the one that has already suggested we go out some time has a boyfriend. It looks like something that no matter how innocent will inevitably blow up in my face"

When you go out socialising, you don't necessarily have to go out with the intention of "pulling" a woman. Go out and have fun with your friends and assert yourself. If some of your friends are female then let them know (if they're attached or you aren't interested in them romantically) that you enjoy their platonic friendship, that keeps YOU right in case they get the wrong idea.
It's good that you think and you can never think too much. Thinking keeps the brain alert and you astute so never lose that. What you need to do is re-evaluate your life and what you want from it. Find yourself again (see link below).

You'll know yourself when the time is right to seek out that special someone. You never know, she might just seek you out first. Life sometimes has a strange way of unfolding.
