Where can I find a nice girl?

Hi I’m a guy, who’s 24 years old. I’m a nice guy who’s still a virgin. I’m also abstaining from sex till marriage. Anyway, my problem is this I recently suffered with social anxiety disorder I also suffered with fear of being around people which caused me to have problems going out side, I couldn’t leave my home for a long time. I also suffered from depression and I almost had a nervous break down. However before I had a nervous break down something, I don’t know what it was, made me see sense, that there was something wrong with me, so after a long period of time being cooped up in my home, I finally left my house and went to see the doctors, to get some much needed help. Which was very hard for me to do, but I’m proud that I did it. Now that I’m on the road to recovery, I really would like to start dating, since I’ve never dated before in my life. I know dating should be the least of my worries now, but after not dating all these years I would like to know what I’m missing out on. Also where does a guy go to meet girls my age, keep in mind I still have problems being around crowds, even though there not as bad as they used to be.

Hi Trevor

Well done on making such great progress, I'm really pleased for you! I would suggest two different places you could meet nice girls, you could enrol on a course at your local college, perhaps in the evenings, or you could join a club for a hobby, fitness or something. Education is always good to keep your mind learning and doing something social such as at a club or a hobby will improve your social skills, help you deal with anxiety and make you more comfortable around people, these places tend to be very friendly because you are around people who are there for the same reasons as you, ideal if you want to meet a girl who is similar to you and who has a similar interest as you. All the best :)

Well first of all, good for you for trying to get over your fears, that takes courage, you should be proud of yourself!! Now you have another problem in meeting ladies :) A local coffee house might be a good place to start. Have you tried internet dating? There are some good websites around like Lavalife or Yahoo dating etc etc.

MissyP agony auntHeyy..im very sorry to hear that but im proud of the decision u made of doing to the doctor to get some help...

my advice is a small coffee shop is always a good place...not many people and can usually find some cute girls ur age..The grocery store is another good place to meet a girl..yet again there may be too many people for you...Also some good places are restarants, take a few of your friends and your bound to find some girls out for the night together..theres always places to go and meet people...just tell yourself you really want what it is ur after and force yourself to make an effort...

Missy
