A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (3 June 2008):

You don't need to have rights to feel anything.

You are upset. That should be enough for a man who supposedly wants to dedicate his life to making you happy.

Sit him down and ask him if he is unhappy with the relationship since he "obviously doesn't like spending time with you". Ask him if he wants to break off the engagement.

This should scare him into realising he can't take you for granted and make him talk about it.

He may just have slipped into a routine of going out with mates and not even realise that you are missing him.

Other things you could do include making sure you look amazing so you can tempt him into staying at home. Or just spending more time with your mates so you don't feel as lonely without him. But be careful you don't just make he situation worse by doing that.

Talk to him about it.

Good Luck!! xx
