I'm not looking forward to it that much as I'm going with my boyfriend and two of his friends and one of their girlfriends. Where as if I was going with my friends I would be really excited. Can you help on any advice on how to get rid of the sick phobia as that is the main thing ruining it Thank you Reply to this Question Share |

That way its not your responsibility alone even if they are part of your group. Take a bit of menthol rub and put it on your wrist and sniff it to help you from fainting and to conquer the smell. Do not kisss anyone who is remotely close to vomiting , do not pat them on the back or punch them in the belly. Wear washable clothes and go and have fun. Chances are, you wont even need that menthol.

I can't handle throw up either, never could. If someone else started to up chuck... I'd follow. I can't even handle the cats having hairballs... go figure. My older brother used to mimic the sound and body language of someone puking just to tease (which would make me go throw up 9 out of 10 times) - he thought it was hilarious.
I figured that having kids would "cure" me, but no.. I still can't deal with other's puking. I probably never will.
My advice is to GO have fun at the festival ( I have been on several, they are good fun) and if someone throws up (and it isn't your bestie who NEEDS you to hold her hair) - move away.
Don't let it hold you back.
Some say hypnosis can help, I don't know as I never tried. I just figured that puking is part of life, but it's not a part I HAVE to stick around and watch others do.
Watch your OWN alcohol intake (if you drink) and keep hydrated (water).
