If you are not ready for tampons, you could ask the school nurse if you can keep the supplies at her office, and go there when you need to change. -And don't be embarrased, it's her job. Don't worry... everything will be fine.

Keep a pad or tampon, or ever both if you're that heavy in your pocket. Then you'll have it with you to change when you need to. All the other girls must be managing somehow. I'm not sure exactly what you're scared of in school but think about it a different way.... 50% of your school manage to deal with this problem which suggests that it's not really that big a deal. Once its happened a few times you'll just learn to cope.
