writes:So, I am on birth control and I have never had an issue with it, I have been on it for about a year now. I went to visit my boyfriend this past Thursday, and I had taken the pill that day as usual. Friday I forgot to take it, we had sex twice. Saturday I realized I forgot and took Fridays and Saturdays at my usual time. Sunday started the first of the seven sugar pills. Today (Tuesday) was day 3 of the sugar pills and my period has not arrived yet. This is actually not strange as it usually arrives by day 4, the Wednesday of the sugar pills but I have this awful, nagging feeling something is wrong. Im just wondering what the general consensus is, do you think that missing that one pill was enough to get pregnant? I think Im just looking for someone to calm me down, I have never had this worry before.

 well first of all you should look at the instructions for your pill and see wat is said about a pill missed more than 12hours. next - to make yourself feel better, i would take a test just to put your mind at ease. im sure you will get your period so dont worry.

Read the leaflet that came with the pills. That should tell you what to do if you miss a pill. Since they are all different we can't advise you too much on the details.
You really should have read the advice and got to know the drugs you are swallowing every day.
There is a chance you could be pregnant if you didn't take the pill but hopefully your pill is one of the more affective ones that stops you ovulating etc.
If there is still no period in another week then take a test.
