This new teacher came to my school about 2 years ago..He has been my tutor for 2 years and he was my english teacher last year. I didnt start liking him till about 6 months of him teaching me,but it got worse and i eventually stopped talking to him.Recently i have started talking to him more and more but now he has got a new job and is going to be there for registration anymore. It is the best way because it upset me so much but i know im going to miss him. When he told us i was really upset and didnt say anything.I want to get him a thankyou card, for being there but i dont know what to put in it.He has always helped me with problems but he knows i like him so i dont want to put something too obvious in it.Any idea's?

meshelle88 agony auntAww, the school teacher crush. I respect the teacher for not taking advantagé of your crush. Get him a "Thank You" card, it can even be blank inside, just tell him how much you appreciate his dedication, that he has helped you so much along the way, and that he will be missed. You can say thank you without shouting out "I like you in that way" very easily. And don't sign it "Love" but rather "Thank You for being a Wonderful role model and friend, your student (your name). He will really appreciáte it without feeling awkward.

dirtball agony auntI would keep it simple and professional.

"Thank you for being an awesome teacher. You've motivated me to learn, and helped me when I needed it. I hope you are happy in your new position!

Thanks again,

Jessica"

Say much more and you run the risk of things being interpreted. While he may know you like him, his wife or significant other may not. Make it something that he doesn't regret getting.
