writes: hie, i am a 20 year old girl and i hate myself. i am a size 6 and i know some women would love to be but i hate it. i never diet or starve myself i just wont grow. this has resulted in my having a short temper and pushing away my boyfriend who i have been with since high school. we are on a break now becoz i shouted at him, please if anyone knows how i can gain weight please tell me before i lose the love of my life.

The only thing that I can advise is drink a shake called ensure. They give it to people who are under weight because it is full of vitamins and a bunch of other things your body needs. Gain weight is really hard if you have such a high metabolism.
The best thing that you can do is try to be happy with yourself and realize that your metabolism will start to drop after 30.

Well if you are clinically underweight then you should talk to your GP about it....preferably a female GP who would be able to relate to your situation.Usually you have to exercise (swimming especially) as well as eat, as if you have a fast metabolism then eating alone will get you nowhere.However, if you are a naturally petite figure then there is nothing really you can do other than to tone your body -- people come in all shapes and sizes and you shouldn't try to overload your body with weight, especially if you are a naturally small frame.If you would like to gain weight then you should see the GP. Gaining weight, like trying to lose weight can have serious health risks if not done correctly.Good luck
