There is also the organic Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) which is multi-purpose. (I don't have any children but I use this for my sensitive skin and it works wonders!) Rub the oil on the skin two three times a day. It does not leave any grease marks/stains at all, and if it does (say you accidentally spill it), it washes off easily as it is all organic. You can get them in Tesco etc.

In certain parts of Asia, a spoonful (daily dosage) home made coconut oil is often taken [ingested] during the last trimester of the pregnancy to help the vaginal muscles be more "elasticized" and thus avoid tearing and helps the muscles to quickly retain its formal firm shape.

I agree.
Bio oil is great. It's normally used by pregnant women but it's good for any growth marks or scarring.
My brothers girlfriend and her sister used it throughout thier pregnancy and neither of them have strech marks.
Also, good moisturisers and creams can help growth marks.
I wouldnt feel too self concious about them, most girls have them, even I do.
Hope this helps.
