writes: I have asked my live in gf to spend more time at home so we can spend time together but she seems unwilling. She said she is going to hang out with her friends once a week and if it makes me mad than shes sorry. she has two jobs so between them and me watching my son and watching hers on the weekend while shes working there isn't a lot of time left. she says I can hang with mine whenever but I don't due to my son, I don't believe in having other people watch him so I can go out....what are your thoughts? reader, anonymous, writes (12 December 2006): You need to have a good chat with her. Does she really need two jobs? Tell her exactly how you feel. You don't want to leave your son with anyone so you are caught in a bit of a situation. If you both have kids then finding time could be very hard. Can you both not set aside some 'us' time and maybe go out for a meal.
If you don't get any joy then i think i would walk away. Get a place sorted out for you and the times when you have your son. Don't put up with this. You have a life too!!
