I hang out with a co-worker. Do you think he likes me as more than a friend?

I asked the following question back on 6/25:

I am 28 yrs old and have been working w/ my co-worker who is 40 yrs old for the past year. In this year we have gotten to know each other better and we often go out with 2 friends from work (our boss and his girlfriend). The first time we went out as a group he was actually met us there w/friends from out of state, but he abandoned them for a majority of the night to hang out w/me after our friends left. That seems to happen more and more. We end up being the only 2 left at the end of the night. Is this a sign that he likes me and is shy or am I reading more into this?

UPDATE: We have continued to become closer friends, talking, emailing, calling and texting. He asked Me to pick him up from the hospital as he was going through some medical testing. We went out to a movie together (I asked, he accepted - we paid for our own tickets)and afterward he took me to lunch, then we had to go to the store to pick up a few things before he went into the hospital for a medical procedure. Our friends have no idea we did this, neither of us have said anything to them. The 1st night he was up for visitors, I was the first one there and we had almost 2 hrs together before his parents and our friends showed up. I know he has had a crazy month dealing w/medical issues (everything appears to be good now) but does this seem like he wants to be more than friends? Or am I dealing w/just a great guy looking for a friend?

I think he likes you but the age gap between you two may be an issue on his mind. I mean, maybe he feels insecure about you accepting him because he is much older. I think everything else will come naturally.

Remember that older men are more mature and don't rush into things like younger men because they usually really know what they want.

Enjoy!
