I usually use condoms but didn't this time and just let him pull out each time. I know it was dumb. I want to get checked for std's but heard that HIV doesn't show up right away on the test. Is that true? If so, when should I get checked?

There is a blood test for herpes and it will distinguish between HSV-1 and HSV-2, but it is only reliable after 3 months. Of course, you might get an outbreak before that and that will tell you right away. Here is some information on the various herpes blood tests:

A condom will not totally protect you from genital HSV-1 or HSV-2, as it can be transmitted by skin to skin contact, even occasionally if the person does not have an outbreak. Here is a good site for herpes information:
http://www.herpes.com/hsv1-2.html
Note that there is no cure for herpes once you have contracted it.

First off you need to get the morning after pill right now. Pulling out DOES NOT WORK!!!
If you go to a sex health clinic they will be able to advise you about all the things they would like to check you for. With HIV you can get tested now (I think) but you have to get tested again in 3 months time.
Go to the doctor and they will know what to look for without you having to ask.
Good Luck!! xx
