I am panicking because today it struck me I might be pregnant because: I am 2 weeks after my period, in which I had full intercourse ( no protection) with my fiance. I thought nothing of it and I thought it wont be dangerous. But during the past 2weeks i really have been knocked out with tiredness, usually I am very active but all I had energy for was to crawl into my bed after work and sleep. Today I noticed my breasts are getting swallen, just like they would do before a period, and painful. That's when it struck me,I might have got pregnant, but I cant know for sure until tomorrow when I buy the test!".... from your experience, is it possible to get pregnant during your period, or have you experienced the same symptoms? Thank you thank you thank you for reading this, please let me know

reader, anonymous, writes (9 May 2009): This is verified as being by the original poster of the question7 days since i posed the question, 10 tests later, and only 2 very very faint positives yesterday. i have a fluttering and a dull pain in my right lower tummy... feel tired and my breasts are getting bigger.. my period is due next thursday -in 5 days time- so theoretically one of those early pregnancy tests shuld start working from tomorrow, the 4th day before my period.. i am both scared and very excited by getting pregnant now...

Guess, gosh it's hard no knowing Which way!!!! Meanwhile my boobs are getting bigger and more painful lol. I checked other forums online and there have been girls in the same position, but none of them came back to update on whwther they got pregnant or not.....!!! I guess they're all busy with their new babies

 Hi.As a male, I'n not an expert, but the way I understand it, it depends upon when in your period you had sex.You stand a better chance if it were day 1 or 2, but if at the latter stages, sperm could still be in you and viable when a new egg is released.Wait and see if the delicious satindesire reads this: she will advise you better!Harry.

anything can happen but then a test will ease your mind. to be frank that was what i felt when i got pregnant, but for you too early then to get the signs.

 Yes it is possible to get pregnant while your having your period as the ovaries are getting ready for a new egg..and after four-five days a new egg is made!..Soo..But dont get to worked up about it!

It is possible to get pregnant if you have unprotected sex during your period, although the chances are lower. If I'm not wrong, the pregnancy test must be done when you're supposed to be getting your period, so you'd have to wait until then, otherwise the result won't necessarily be accurate. Just to make you a little calm, years ago I had unprotected sex when I had my period and I didn't get pregnant, but I'm not making the same mistake twice because of the uncertainty that eats you afterwards. It is essential to use some kind of contraceptive at all times when having sex. Best of luck, I hope the test will be negative. Until then just try to relax.. stress can make your period come later, too.
