 its different.
I got my belly button done long time ago ... they told me its 6-8weeks,but its not really a true....It has been 6months and I still get infections and stuff ... I do clean it and take care of it .. but I guess my body just doesnt agree with it. It does not hurt tho ... and its ok most of the time ...

 did they not tell you all this? you should clean it for about 6-8 weeks with the solution you get. and then you should clean it in the shower with warm water just to keep it clean. it's the same for changing the bar/stud. you leave it in for about 6 weeks before you take it out. but like i said they should have told you all this when you got the piercing.

 i was cleaning mine every day for 6 weeks on both piercings (ears) and now do it once every two days at least
