writes:Ok. I am a 17 year old sixth form student. A few weeks ago I became really attracted to one of the female PE teachers at my school. I'd say she's in her mid twenties and she isn't the sort who makes herself look provocative. She has never taught me before because she joined when I joined sixth form and I don't do A-level PE. I have seen her many times in the past around school and may have even spoken to her on a few occasions but I never had any sort of feelings for her back then. So, several weeks ago I had this dream one night which I only remember part of. I was coming out of a classroom and that teacher was standing outside it and that was it. When I woke up I had that infatuated feeling which has stayed with me since. I think of her all the time and get excited when I see her around school. The whole thing just came out of the blue and it is really getting to me. I feel that I am in love with her or it's probably just a crush but usually a crush for a teacher only happens when you know the teacher well and they teach you. There was nothing else that provoked my feelings apart from that small dream which is just silly. I've recently began doing sports in the hope of her knowing who I am and getting a chance to speak to her (NOT to tell her how I feel by the way). I definitely do not want to compromise her job and ruin her reputation but my A-levels are fast approaching and after that it's goodbye to school. I'm going to try and build up a normal and moral student-teacher relationship with her so that when I have left school and turn 18 I can do something about it without any complications or risks. I just hope I'll see her again after that because I feel there is a real connection. I'll reiterate, I am not going to say anything about the way I feel to her while I'm still at school and I will not try anything also. I just need advice about what to do.

reader, anonymous, writes (15 March 2009): Im going through the same thing as you. Im 16 in year11 and im in love with my PE teacher. Were really close and sometimes i feel as if he likes me too, he always seems to stare and my friends have also noticed. Just think what has attracted you to this woman? What it is about her you love? If it makes you feel better, get to know her, then you might not like what your getting to know. But there's also more consiquenses that you could fall for her even more? That's a good idea telling her your feelings when you leave sixthform, that's what im going to do.

 You are definitely NOT in love with her. Nobody can be in love with someone they really don't know.
Your dream felt good. Now when you see her it still feels good. But lets be honest here, she's a teacher. You're 17. Where would this really be going?
Keep her as a fantasy and just enjoy that. No harm in dreaming!
