I'm certain I don't have a yeast problem because I have no symptoms of one...I just have this discharge that 'runs in the family'. It's clearish or milky and has an odor, but not a bad one...What's his deal? He has performed oral before...doesn't every girl smell different down there? Help!!Cross-Legged

You are welcome and hope anything I could offer helped. No doubt that certain traits run through families, so I can't question the discharge thing. The panty liners sure sound like a good idea it would seem. Best wishes.

Well everyone is different, and if a discharge is normal for you it might be a good idea to simply clean up real good just before sexual activity, rinse but not douche, and let your boyfriend decide if he can handle it. I've known a few girls who were more spunky than others but the pleasures were well worth it.

He told me that most of the girls he knew did it, so I had to explain to him the whole fishtank PH scenario, so he got it...yea, my gramma has this discharge, my mom does, and my doctor said it was okay last check-up. I am fastediously clean down there; I wash with mild home-made natural soap from my aunt, and rinse very well with warm water and bathe before bed. I change my panties at least twice a day (once in the morning and once before bed). Can't really think of what else to do, other than panty liners.

I would still be a bit concerned about this "discharge" you mentioned, especially if or when it becomes "milky." There is a constant shedding of skin cells from inside the vagina which can sometimes collect around the clitoris and vaginal opening and is called 'smegma' but that would usually occur only without proper hygiene. Sometimes this shows up when newly penetrated following a period of time. There are always various vaginal juices and lubricants going on, but I've never heard of a milky discharge commonly "running in the family." Possible, but I'd suggest monitoring that situation and keep those legs parted. Find another guy who will not complain.

I do wear thongs a lot, and I was wearing one that particular evening. But then this thought hit me after he said it...'If it was actually bad, he probably wouldn't have done it, would he?'
Hm. Just something to ponder. Again, thank you sincerely.

Whether male or female - Yes we all smell and taste different and hygiene is important with a daily routine to keep the smell fresh. If you wear tight underwear(particularly manmade fabrics) and lack good hygiene, the sweat mixes with your natural discharges and thats when problems can arise - such as a stale smell or at worse you get fungal/bacterial infections then the natural white/creamy discharge can change to yellowish/green. Getting a fungal infection like Thrush is far more painful in a man than a woman but not as common - but pain and irritation goes with an infection.
Both men and women need to keep themselves clean but to help you I'll add this. Just being sensible with a hygiene routine will keep most infections at bay leaving you to choose any underwear that you fancy - but if you have a problem, use cotton underwear.
You can also purchase items from the chemist to help with staying fresh. They are little wipes in packet no bigger than tissues, you'll find them on the shelf by sanitary towels and tampons and they are useful. Just after a period ( couple of days) your natural smell will be slightly stronger than the rest of the month and these wipes are handy then if you are conscious of the smell, but try to avoid using them all the time. Hope this helps with your understanding.

Yes, all girls have a slightly different taste and smell due to genetics, but the only situations that usually cause any significant unpleasantness is an imbalance in her vaginal environment. That means that the natural bacterial and hormonal combination of stuff within your vagina gets out of normal. A normal vaginal taste and smell is very pleasant to a man who is experienced and who enjoys all that is a woman.
The things that set the vaginal environment off kilter can include the following: Medications, birth control pills, douching, too much washing-up with harsh soaps, lack of hygiene, wearing nylon panties or pantyhose everyday (cotton or no panties better), improper wiping after restroom visits (always wipe front to back), not adequately drying the vulva area after bathing and a few other things.
Use neutral-Ph soaps down there and do not douche or use feminine hygiene products of any kind (such as deodorant sprays). Unnecessary and can upset your balance. The taste and smell of pussy is always or often a bit tangy, but men who love it will have no problem going there to pleasure you.

And change with age, too. But...weird.
