I start getting attached, can't stop thinking about them, etc. etc, and the worst part is, I don't even know them! (They're usually a friend). I get attached very easily and it is all based on looks. I'm trying to stop thinking like this, I know it's very immature. Any suggestions?

Try and look behind the looks. Because someone can have a gorgeous face but be an ugly person. I learned that a long time ago and it is true. The good lookers can turn out to be right pigs.
take care
