The first time it happened we just assumed he broke my hymen because we just saw a little blood, but then I noticed the unsual discharge whenever I'd use the restroom. There was a lot at first as though I was on my period, but it eventually went away and now when it happens it's usually only a small amount. The same discharge occurs right before or right after my period sometimes. What could this be and how can it be prevented? My main goal is to avoid a doctor visit (I know I need to go, but I don't want to until I know what's wrong).

It seems like you have a un-healed "vaginal-ulcer" that bleeds upon secretion of vaginal fluids when you're being stimulated or not....
Resolution: SEE A OBGYN OR FAMILY PHYSICIAN!!

girl before you allow your sweetheart to fingered you tell him to wash his fingers.if it is your first time it must be your hymen, but maybe your period.spotting what they call it. Infection is also considered when it bleeds so i advice you to ask medical help.

discharge is common after sexual stimulation also in the reproductive years it's alot more noticeable so don't concern yourself with it you only need to visit your gp if it's yellowish or green, offensive smelling or it causes itching and then it could be an infection.
Take care.xx.

First of all: don't be afraid of a doctor. In Belgium, a doctor isn't allowed to tell anyone about his patient's problem unless you give him explicit permission to do so. I don't know if that's also the case in the USA.
I don't know why you fear a visit to the doctor, but i must say that it isn't really wise if you first want to diagnose yourself before you enter his practice. Doctors have studied to diagnose people!
I think it's old menstruation blood, though. As long as it isn't green or yellow-ish and it doesn't smell it's nothing serious. Check this link:

My advice: go to a doctor, just to get more answers about menstruation.
Good luck
