writes:ok so here is my problem. ive never really been in a proper relationship before all the guys ive been linked to were always just after sex. but then i found a guy who actually wanted to be with me. things were really really good and even tho we hadnt been been together long i know i love him and that he is the one for me. after a weekend trip to the states with my best mate he said he needed time to think about things and broke up with me. im heartbroken. we are seein eachother tomorrow to talk. i just dont know what to do with myself and all i want is him. do you think there is a chance that we can be happy again?

reader, anonymous, writes (17 November 2007): I imagine how bad you must feel. But wait until you talk to him tomorrow and see what he has to say. Remember, it takes two to make a relationhsip. If he doesn't want to be with you I don't know what can I tell you so you can be happy with him again. Was it you and your mate only who traveled to the states? Maybe he found somebody else while you were on vacation. Maybe the relationship was too fragile for such a big challenge. I had a friend who had this happened to her twice. She left the country and her recent boyfriend twice; and when she got back they never contacted her again. At least this one is willing to talk.
